Two thousand square metres, THE WINE PAVILION with VERONA FIERE aims to tell the story and culture of Italian Wine and involve the visitor in an attractive and exciting all-round experience. The wine pavilion, initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture and organised by VeronaFiere, was awarded the Class Expo Pavilion Heritage Awards for the best pavilion for a single food product.
There were 2,000 participating companies, 3.600 the wines represented for 150,000 bottles; the pavilion was divided into two main structures.
On the ground floor of the WINE Pavilion is the Domus Vini, a dwelling that retraces the history of Italian wine, with a multi-sensory informative journey. Frescoes, mosaics, video projections: past, present and future of a sector characterised by high quality, conceived and designed by archistar Italo Rota.
On the first floor of the pavilion is the Wine Library: 1,400 Italian labels for responsible and sommelier-assisted tastings in a luxurious and elegant setting. Presenting regions, protection consortia, groups of Italian wine companies, studied and designed by architect Paolo Beleù.
